Our 2019 Rewind: Press Pause on the Highlights of the Year
Every passing year is a new story. And in 2019, we wrote a great one. We crafted toys and smiles; we brought more colors into our UNGA home; and we let our creativity fly high. Let’s rewind.
We created fun and meaningful loyalty campaigns
The way we see it, entertainment is essential for family-friendly loyalty campaigns to be truly successful. When entertainment is paired with educational features, campaigns can really benefit children’s health as well as families’ well-being and development.
This year, we highlighted the following three main themes in our campaigns:
• As parents seek more authenticity, we encouraged families to reconnect with nature;
• Our playful and colorful concepts were great tools to enhance children’s imagination and creativity;
• All toys and products at the center of our loyalty campaigns served a common purpose—enabling families to bond over fun and educational activities.
We participated in super inspiring events
In 2019, we had the chance to attend renowned events related to our industry, including two very international and insightful ones—The Spielwarenmesse® Toy Fair in Germany and the THU 2019 in Malta.
We believe that children deserve the best toys. And for us to be inspired and to craft toys that families will love, we always keep up-to-date with the toy industry trends. That’s why we participated in the great Spielwarenmesse® Toy Fair in Nuremberg, where we had the chance to discover about 80,000 different toys, from wooden toys and books to technical toys and multimedia.

Our team works hard every day to make our campaigns possible, and our designers are those who give our concepts soul. That’s why we want to endow them with the best opportunities to let their imagination run wild. The THU 2019 in Malta—a yearly event that designers from all over the world attend—gave our designers an opportunity to share their views and experiences with other professionals.
We moved into our brand-new Amsterdam headquarters
One of our most important highlights of 2019 is our office relocation. We didn’t just get a new office; we made a promising beginning. The whole team was thrilled to move to a bright and bigger office that offers us everything we need to play to grow.

The UNGA family got bigger and more diverse
The only way to make our mission stronger and to give life to more creative concepts is if all the pieces come together. 15 new players have joined the game since last December, and we couldn’t be prouder to see our team grow. Nearly 20 nationalities are now represented within our big and happy family, a great asset to make ‘play to grow’ a reality for kids in 35 countries, and counting.
New year, new game!
Now, it is time for us to look ahead and write an even more powerful story for 2020. To be continued.
